NDP Leader Gary Burrill on the death of Gordie Gosse

Halifax -- NDP Leader Gary Burrill made the following statement today on the passing of former NDP MLA and House Speaker Gordie Gosse:

“It's a sad day in Nova Scotia.

Everybody -- everybody -- liked Gordie Gosse. His big-hearted warmth reflected the best of the Cape Breton that he loved, and his out-sized friendliness embodied the heart of the New Democratic Party. He was held in immeasurable esteem, in particular, by the people of Whitney Pier, who he served and loved.

We hold Gordie’s wife, Sue, and sons, Daniel and Gordie Jr. in our hearts.”
