Kevany ready to work for Truro-Bible Hill-Millbrook-Salmon River

Truro -- NDP candidate Kathleen Kevany is ready to continue the NDP’s work and represent the people of Truro-Bible Hill-Millbrook-Salmon River in the Legislature. The Premier called the byelection today with Election Day set for March 10th.

“I love Nova Scotia and am proud to call Truro my home, and Bible Hill my professional home base,” said Kevany. “My commitment to the people of Truro-Bible Hill-Millbrook-Salmon River is evident and heartfelt. As your MLA, I will work tirelessly for the health and wellbeing of our residents, and to advance sustainable and sensible solutions to our communities’ challenges.”

The NDP is focused on providing solutions to the health care crisis, same-day/next-day mental health care, addressing the housing shortage, and creating good green jobs.

“Stephen McNeil and his Liberal government are in denial about the health care crisis. We need to invest in health care so the care people need is there when they need it. And we need to create green jobs and make sure the energy we use comes from our own renewable resources in response to the climate emergency,” said NDP Leader Gary Burrill. “Truro-Bible Hill-Millbrook-Salmon River needs an MLA who will do the work to find solutions to these problems. Kathleen has the ability, the background, and the character for this work.”

The McNeil government has refused to admit there is a health care crisis and stripped the environmental goals legislation of any real targets. The Tim Houston Conservatives don’t have a plan to address the health care crisis or to create green jobs.
