Statement by Lenore Zann on public funding for Mifegymiso

NDP caucus welcomes change, recognizes hard work of advocates

HALIFAX – Lenore Zann, NDP Status of Women spokesperson, made the following statement about provincial funding for Mifegymiso:

"The NDP Caucus is pleased to see the government take these important steps to improve access to reproductive health services in our province.

This change would not have been possible without the hard work of advocates, health care professionals, feminist organizations, and others.

We hope that the government will take further steps to ensure that women and trans people have timely access to Mifegymiso and other important reproductive and sexual health services."
